It’s the non-profit parents’ association from the Gimnasio Vermont Medellin which provides educational, cultural, and technological services. Asovermont is conducted by parents or authorized guardians of students enrolled at Gimnasio Vermont Medellin who are active members of the association.
MISION: Serve as a strong communication tool to keep school’s community informed, allowing the association to participate on it and guide it. Thus, Asovermont helps to maintain excellent education services through projects that work on areas aiming on the student’s life quality.
VISION: Reach the school’s community wellbeing and be acknowledged as a bilingual institution with excellent values that are an example on our city. This way, we’ll get excellent participation of students’ families.
OBJECTIVES:
Support school’s educational project and its effort for structures upgrades.
Encourage school community to build an environment of trust, respect and tolerance.
Promote activities that educate and update parents.
Support students and their parents by developing and taking actions to improve their learning results.
Encourage parents to coexist in a school community, where conflicts are solved pacifically, and showing commitment to the law.
Facilitate students with individual and group problem solving, and foster actions that confer a better education.
Award teachers, students and parents for their excellent tasks on promoting higher academic standards, under a family-orientated and pacific-coexistence environment.
Create a solidarity fund --regulated by a board of directors statue-- that benefits students who have lost one of their parents or guardians.
